Toyota Industries Corporation Exhibits Electrode for Hydrogen Production Equipment at Hannover Messe 2026
Toyota Industries Corporation ("Toyota Industries") will be exhibiting the electrode for alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment that it has developed at Hannover Messe 2026, which will be held from April 20 to April 24, 2026, at Hannover Fairgrounds.
The electrode consists of originally designed material composed mainly of nickel and does not use cobalt or precious metals such as platinum and ruthenium, thereby contributing to the reduction of supply chain risks. The electrode achieves a high water electrolysis efficiency of 84%*1, which is equivalent to electrodes using precious metals and cobalt. It is also durable, maintaining the same electrolysis efficiency with no electrode degradation even after 1,000 hours*2 of continuous usage.
By exhibiting at Hanover Messe, one of the world's largest industrial technology trade shows, Toyota Industries will cultivate customers on a global scale, with a focus on Europe, a key market for hydrogen production equipment.
