Greeting

Firstly, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your continued support of Toyota Industries Corporation and the Toyota Industries Group.

Toyota Industries was established in 1926 to manufacture and sell the Type G automatic loom invented by our founder, Sakichi Toyoda. Since then, we gave birth to an automobile business thanks to the bold vision and determination of pioneers like Kiichiro Toyoda, and continued to develop by expanding our businesses through monozukuri (manufacturing). In the Textile Machinery Business, we lead the global market in air-jet looms, are No. 1 in worldwide lift truck sales, and boast one of the world’s highest sales volumes for car air-conditioning compressors. In our Logistics Solutions Business, we have expanded our business domains by enhancing competitiveness through M&A and extending our operations into vehicle assembly, engine development and production, and electrification technologies for car electronics, batteries and more.

This year, as we celebrate the major milestone of our 100th anniversary, we have brought our 77-year history as a publicly listed company to a close and embarked on a new chapter as a private company. We will focus even more on making bold investments and strengthening our business foundation from a medium- to long-term perspective, translating these efforts into agile decision-making and steady execution as we drive forward transformation and take on challenges with an eye to the future. At the same time, we will return to the founding spirit that pioneered new businesses, firmly uphold our enduring values of safety, quality, and a frontline focus, and provide products and services that benefit our customers as we strive to remain indispensable to society.

The environment surrounding us is changing rapidly and dramatically amid growing calls for a sustainable society, rapid advances in digital technology, accelerating electrification, and the increasing diversity of industry players. We take the domestic engine certification issue announced in 2023 seriously. As each of us returns to the basic principle of doing the right things in the right ways, we will move forward with compliance as the foundation of all our operations. At the same time, we will advance monozukuri aimed at reducing environmental impact and achieving a carbonneutral society, while consistently providing safe and reliable products and solutions that support our customers’ front lines.

To achieve this, nothing is more important than thinking beyond conventional assumptions, continually asking questions, and verifying facts firsthand through genchi genbutsu (go and see for yourself). Even in an age of advancing digitalization and greater business sophistication, we believe that this frontline-based approach is both the driving force that enables us to continue responding to change and our strength. Going forward, we will continue to embrace challenges with diverse perspectives and a broad outlook, moving ahead as one team so that we can continue contributing in each field and community by delivering products and services with care.

In closing, we kindly request your continued support and patronage.

August 2026

Koichi Ito
