[Translation]

Toyota Industries Corporation (the "Company") has summarized fundamental preventative measures regarding legal violations in domestic engine certification and have implemented them upon having reported them to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). Today, we would like to announce that we have submitted our fifth quarterly report on the progress of implementation to MLIT.

As stated in the attached "Fifth Quarterly Report on the Implementation of Recurrence Prevention Measures in Response to Corrective Order," all of the 122 action items in 56 total categories planned as recurrence prevention measures have been either implemented or put into operation by the end of this quarter. We will continue to operate each of the activities implemented as recurrence prevention measures to ensure that the memory of this incident does not fade away, and we will make further improvements and enhancements to ensure that we can autonomously do the right thing in the right way.

The Company sincerely apologize again to our customers, dealers, suppliers and all other concerned parties for the significant inconvenience. We will return to the basics of providing customers with "safe and secure quality products" and continuing to contribute to society. To do this, management and employees will continue to work together to implement the three reforms of "Culture," "Mechanism," and "Organization / Structure."
