Suspension of Production of Certain Forklift Models in North America

[Translation]

On April 28, 2021, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) announced that the shipment of some models of the engine-powered lift trucks manufactured by its subsidiary Toyota Material Handling, Inc. in Indiana, United States had been suspended due to delays in obtaining U.S. engine emissions certification.
TICO expects that the certification process will take more time and has decided to temporarily suspend the production of gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) forklift models at Toyota Material Handling starting on June 1. We expect that Toyota Material Handling will restart production of these models once it obtains certification for engines.

Toyota Industries Corporation will promptly disclose the relevant information if any matters requiring disclosure arise with regard to the impact of the production suspension on its consolidated business results.
