Toyota Industries is committed to promoting in-house manufacturing of key machining and assembling equipment. The Mechatronics Systems Department plays a central role in developing and producing manufacturing equipment in-house for such divisions as the Compressor Division and the Engine Division. The excellent production equipment designed and manufactured by the Mechatronics Systems Department serve as a source of high competitiveness for each division. In addition, in recent years they have applied their expertise in equipment and facilities to make the start up of overseas base production go smoothly, and are also putting great effort into the cultivating of human resources skilled in equipment production technology and equipment maintenance. In this way, they are making major contributions to the improvement of production technology at Toyota Industries and its group companies.
