LCA (Life Cycle Assessments) for Textile Machinery

We have carried out an assessment of our air-jet loom “JAT710” by utilizing a LCA. As a result, we found that of all the CO2 released during the machine's lifecycle, over 90% of it could be accounted for from the electricity generated to run the machine during use. Therefore, in order to reduce the amount of CO2 produced by this air-jet loom, we knew that it was vital to reduce the amount of electricity it consumed as much as possible. The amount of substances other than CO2 that have an environmental impact are shown in the chart below. We plan to make use of this LCA evaluation result in order to develop more environmentally-friendly products in the future.
