Development of a Series of Electric Compressors

We have developed car air-conditioning compressors equipped with a built-in electrically-powered motor for use in electric vehicles and hybrid cars. These compressors are smaller and lighter in weight than compressors powered by gasoline engines, and their highly efficient operation allows them to contribute to improved fuel efficiency in the vehicle in which they are installed. Since the motors are built-in to the compressor there is no need for a shaft seal leading to an even better airtight design.
