Sakichi Toyoda, the founder of Toyota Industries Corporation, possessed a strong ambition to contribute to society from his days as a youth. He had devoted his 63-year-long life to invention.
To establish a recycling-based society, we seek to minimize our resource consumption and to implement production activities that reduce the amount of unwanted substances.

Under the Sixth Plan, we worked toward achieving the fiscal 2021 targets of reducing waste volume per unit of production compared with the fiscal 2006 level by 29% on a non-consolidated basis and by 27% for Toyota Industries and its consolidated subsidiaries in Japan. Both targets were achieved successfully.
