Environmental Action Plans

3rd Action Plan / 1st & 2nd Action Plans

4th Action Plan (FY2007 - FY2011)

We have outlined our Fourth Environmental Action Plan. The plan contains our initiatives for sustainable management, and is to be implemented in the five-year period from FY2007 through FY2011.

The Fourth Environmental Action Plan establishes targets for both product and production areas, in response to the growing urgency posed by environmental issues. Implementation items relating to these target values fall under the following four themes, which are intricately related to every aspect of the business operations of the Toyota Industries Group:
(1) Curbing global warming
(2) Using resources more efficiently
(3) Reducing environmental risk factors
(4) Consolidated management

* “FY 2007” refers to the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2007, and all other fiscal years are referred to in a corresponding manner in the Corporate Citizenship page.

Key Points of the Fourth Environmental Action Plan

Set new indicators showing the environmental efficiency in terms of product value versus carbon dioxide emissions throughout product lifecycles.
Production Reduce emissions of greenhouse gases for all production activities
Take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, not only carbon dioxide from energy use, but fluorocarbons and carbon dioxide produced as a result of logistics operations
(2)Using resources more efficiently Products Enhance resource productivity
